As we enter the new millennium, people are finding more and more that the old ways of religion and spirituality are no longer fulfilling their spiritual needs. We are becoming more introspective on one hand and more willing to accept others' values on the other. For many of us, we are looking within to find what we have to share with the rest of humanity to make the world a more complete place. We are all sent here with a gift to share with the world, however, most of us don't know where to look or what we might have to offer. We feel that our contribution could not be so important that it could benefit one person let alone all of humanity. Most of us are wrong. In each of our lives, there are experiences that help to mold who we are. Identical twins raised in the same family with similar experiences will find that they react and act very differently in similar situations. This is because, each of us perceives events and occurrences differently and in a way that will help us to identify who we are. Who we are is the most perplexing question we can ask ourselves. What were we sent here to do and how can we possibly figure out what our purpose in life is if there is indeed such a thing? That answer can be found in the parts of us with which we most dislike. We can not offer anything to the rest of the world until we heal within us that which we most loath. Herein lies the answer to our question of "Why am I here?" You must use that which you most hate about yourself as the foundation upon which to teach others why that part of you is perfect in you and perfect in them. Through teaching this to others, only then will you truly learn who you really are. Your pupils will be your greatest teachers and within this ironic twist, you will truly learn who you are and fully accept yourself. With the lessons you teach, you will help others to recognize that within themselves which they have to offer humanity. They will then show others what they have learned and so on. This is how you influence the world and do your part in delivering humanity to our highest potential.
