Forming for 2008: A yearlong journey to discuss and work with the materials and ritual from the Diana's Grove Mystery  School.

Diana's Grove is an intentional community and resource developed to  provide leadership skills for spiritual communities. (Non-Tradition-specific) Each year they provide a year long course of materials based around a  myth, as well as a series of weekend intensives on the land in Missouri.  They offer this through an on-line community, which I strongly encourage  anyone interested to join. The cost of this is $175-250 and includes  discounts on intensives and other bonuses. However, in the interest of  getting this material to a larger audience and helping to build distant  spiritual communities, the material is also allowed to be distributed by  anyone enrolled in the course for the purpose of forming a local study  group.

So, what is it that I am offering?

• Access to materials as I receive them in order to discuss and use  them in the study group.  
• Meeting for an evening once a month, to discuss the materials, and  do meditations and ritual based on the story of the year

Am I getting something for nothing?

Well, no. There will be a donation for the space and for any materials  and such, but in keeping with the purpose of building community I intend  to keep this as small as possible. If you join Diana's Grove Mystery  School directly for the year, this could be waved, but you will be asked  to help lead the group.

The larger cost may be one of commitment. This  material is part of a one year course that steadily builds in a very  progressive manner. The pace is generally very easy, but it would be  difficult or impossible to come in mid-year and jump right in to the  material. This goes back to the idea of building a  community. I want this year long course to help create a  community of people, who can then bring the skills they learn back to  there individual work, family and spiritual communities, and who can  depend on each other for support when they need it. In that vein, I would  like to offer this group to anyone who is willing to do this work for the  entire year, starting in February, and making the monthly meetings, as  many of the meetings as possible.

What are the details?

We will meet in New Paltz at the Awareness Shop Annex (behind the  shop), which can hold about twenty people comfortably, monthly - dates to  be decided. Materials will be distributed either by email, or if that is  impossible by hard copy at a reasonable fee at the shop, at least two  weeks before each meeting. I will be leading these meetings along with  Davis my co-facilitator. The The materials include a calendar with  materials that will follow the moon and offer private ritual for the full  and new moons, and a monthly story and workbook, as well as other  materials as they may help the work.

What's in the fine print?

Good question. The most important thing is that this is a study group,  not a sponsored grove or other outreach from Diana's Grove. As such it  only gives you access to my materials and the public areas of the Diana's  Grove website. If you want to be one of the on-line community of Diana's  Grove or receive discounts for weekend intensives, join the mystery school  directly please. If you do remember you are most welcome at the  study group as well.
